Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my backyard garden. I love to go out right when the snow melts to look for my favorite crocus flowers that usually first to bloom in the garden.

Time

I took it on a late afternoon when the bees were busy visiting the flowers in the sun.

Lighting

Afternoon early spring sunlight.

Equipment

Canon T3i and a short lens 18-55mm. No flash just the afternoon spring sunlight.

Inspiration

I love to watch nature at work. Flowers are my most favorite to photograph since there is lots of color plus never know what will visit it.

Editing

I did do some color saturation but that is about all I did do to the image. The flowers and bees speak for their selves.

In my camera bag

Canon t3i but recently past year I upgraded to the T6i model. Several short lens, 22mm, 40mm, 18-55mm, 75-300mm, 55-250mm. I also own a fisheye manual lens and a manual 500mm lens. Flash external and uv lens protectors.

Feedback

Patience and a great spot in the afternoon sunlight. I like nature light better for it is softer and color saturation. Getting down low and view flowers at ground level rather than from above gives the image more interest.
