Location
This was taken in my back garden. The spotted flycatchers are regular summer visitors to the UK, arriving in May and leaving in about September each year.Time
This is one of a number of images captured one morning as the birds had just arrived back from their migration in May 2015.Lighting
I was pleased with the gentle bokeh which accompanies the image of the bird.Equipment
The camera was a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1Inspiration
I am always pleased to see the spotted flycatchers return from their annual migration. They are a delight to shoot as they sit for a while on a particular perch and then make short flights to catch flies, returning many times to the same spot!Editing
I use a free program called GIMP, usually only tweaking the brightness and contrast, and sometimes sharpening the focus. In my camera bag
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 with 100-300mm lens.Feedback
