Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a recent trip up to the highlands of Scotland, this is a view over to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula from Fort William harbour.

Time

Its an early morning shot ,waiting for the low laying mist to be burnt off by the springtime sun

Lighting

With the sun rising behind me and a very right wind,I managed to capture it in its natural state

Equipment

I have always carried a small press and shoot 8 megapixel Olympus x-875 that has been the backbone of all my photography. I have now upgraded to the Sony 8X optical zoom 20.1megapixel compact press and shoot

Inspiration

When I have a camera in my backpack I am always looking for that different aspect of seeing the landscape, I guess that comes from the fact that I have a different type of occupation as I am an historical landscape dowser who identifies lost landscape features like medieval field systems and lost villages through the medium of dowsing.its like walking across a field with your eyes and mind wide open .

Editing

Simple answer ....no ,what you see is what you get...

In my camera bag

Dowsing rods, camera, map ( usually the first edition ordnance survey map of the area) and maybe a chocolate bar.

Feedback

Open your eyes, look for funky angles "see what others don't" and enjoy your photography.
