Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot in front of my barn. A friend had given me a heavy rough-cut Top bar honey bee hive.I remover the to & saw this lady guarding her egg case. I went back to the house, grabbed my camera, and took her portrait.

Time

Late afternoon

Lighting

I believe I used a flash on a bracket to the left of the camera with a soft box.

Equipment

Nikon D750, 105mm micro Nikkor, no tripod.

Inspiration

It was a spider. I like to shoot photos of wildlife.

Editing

I shoot raw & only process color, white balance, etc. No major photo-shopping. I prefer realism.

In my camera bag

D850, a 200mm micro, 500mm FL and a 1.4X extender.

Feedback

Just keep your eyes open and a camera near by.
