Behind The Lens

Location

Lake O'Hara in Yoho National Park

Time

8:30AM

Lighting

A Cloudy Morning at Lake O'Hara. The clouds didn't allows the sunlight to pass through it, but the sunlight still gave some colorful light behind the clouds.

Equipment

Canon 6D with Samyang 14mm f/2.8 on tripod, no flash

Inspiration

I was hiking on the trail at Lake O'Hara surrounded by some great mountains. And Mountain Cathedral is a unique one stand out from others. And the hike along Lake O'Hara is amazing and get to see a different perspective of the mountains.

Editing

This was blended with 3 different exposures in Photoshop using digital blending. Layer mask, colour adjustments, sharpening, etc.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 6D, T3i, EF 24-105mm f/4L, EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 200mm f/2.8L, Samyang 8mm f/3.5, Samyang 14mm f/2.8, Circular Polarizer, ND filter (both 77mm). Interval Timers, 2 x Tripods, And sometimes a Motion Dolly for taking time lapse photos

Feedback

A mountain shot with a great background sky. And finding some nice foreground elements. 3 main elements in fill you frame!! Does it also apply to the rules of third?
