Location
I took this photo in a park near my house I went out the one day and just experimented a little.. I like taking arty and abstract photos I enjoy being creative. It was a good day to be creative and just have fun. I like seeing something ordinary , a typical thing and seeing it in a different view and this is what my aim was with this photograph taking a flower and making you see it from a different view. It took a while and was hard keeping the background up as it was rather windy that day.Time
This was taken late the afternoon in the summer , I remember it was one of the second last images I took that day with my outing as the sunset was approaching and I had to still pack up and go home. This is one of the images i'm very proud of for that day as i feel my goal was achieved.Lighting
The color of the flower against the black background allowed for the color to stand out and with the natural light creating almost a side lighting effect it just happened and I got my perfect image I wanted.Equipment
This was shot using a Nikon D3100 and a 106mm macro lense I did not use a tripod. I used a black cloth for the background just as extra to cut out any distracting noise.Inspiration
Well for start believe me or not but I'm not the biggest fan of taking flower photos haha. But its always great challenging yourself , so I wanted to try flowers however I didn't want to take your average everyday photo of a flower so loving abstract photography I wanted to show and capture an image that would allow for us to take a second look at the flower stop and actually notice the beauty of it. So nature inspired me and my deeper meaning for life and valuing everything I see taking a closer look. Stopping and smelling the roses as they say.Editing
No post-processing was used in taking this photo. I just converted it from RAW to JPEG , other than that nothing else was done , I am at taking the perfect picture sometimes it takes longer however i like challenging myself to do the best while out in the field as proven with this image.In my camera bag
The most important thing in my bag is my camera I have a D3100 always, attached to that is my 55-200mm Nikon lens. I have a 106mm macro lens my gosh is that lens amazing used it to take the above picture. Then along with that I have a 18-55mm Nikon lens , I have a backup of 2 extra battery's and a few memory cards those always come in handy. I have a tripod for that rare occasion when i'll use it however doesn't happen often. Lastly I have a bottle of water cause dehydration gets us all at some point , and sunblock I burn as red as a tomato if i don't use it.Feedback
Always have fun , be creative and try new things. Without creativity we wont be able to create art photography too is art. If your trying to capture a similar looking photograph as to this I would say find a flower bright colorful and eye catching that you like , put up a black cloth and try look for a way to photograph your flower that's different to anything you've ever seen , try catch its side the deeper meaning of the flower they too can tell story's.. Be creative and have FUN without this its going to be hard.
