I was out cutting wood at the Aurora Station just out side of Yellowknife Northwest Territories Canada when the Aurora came out over the TeePee and the moon was just starting to get full.Time
I was running low on fire wood so I went outside to cut some for the fire place. The moon was full and the Aurora was starting to get strong. I cut a few pieces when the Aurora started to come out over the Teepee and the full moon was just left of the TeePee. I ran back inside to get my camera and just had time to set it up and take this picture before it started to fade away.Lighting
The moon was full and it was like standing outside in the day time.Equipment
I have a Canon Rebel SXI and was using a Tokina ATX 116 Pro DX 11-16mm F2.8. I had it set at 1600 ISO-13mm F2.8Inspiration
I love night photography and the Northern Lights. It's a great feeling being out at night and watching the light change around you and have all the stars shinning down it makes you feel so small in the universe and you wonder what your purpose in life is. When I took this picture I was trying to feel what it would have been like in the old days living in a tent on a cold night.Editing

I have my Canon XSI and my Tokina ATX 116 pro DX 11-16 mmF2.8 and a Canon 75-300 UltrasonicZoom plus a Canon 18-55 mm. I also carry a small flash light and a line level for the Tripod.Feedback
All I can say is if you love taking pictures of the Northern lights and the stars. Just remember to take the pictures and not to just look at the wonders before you. I have missed a few great shots.....
