Location
Top of West Mountain in Hot Springs, ArkansasTime
It was the middle of the afternoon about 1:30Lighting
No special lighting was used, just normal daylight being diffused by the ice on the trees.Equipment
My camera at that time was a Pentax K1000 using a 59-200mm zoom lens.Inspiration
It was cold and rainy one weekend in February, 2010 and when I was outside, I noticed to trees on top of the mountain were frozen. I decided to hike up the mountain to see what it looked like in the middle if all the ice. When I got to the top and walked out on the road, this is what I saw, a canopy of ice on the trees over hanging to road. The trails on the mountain were like ice tunnels, it was simply beautiful.Editing
I had not gotten into any post-processing at that time.In my camera bag
I usually carry a Pentax Kx camera with a 50-200mm zoom lens and a normal 35-55mm lens in the bag.Feedback
GET OUTSIDE, that is where the fun is. Don't be afraid of weather, that is what produces the most beautiful scenes.
