My Wrenching Power Wagon Love...
With the test of time to tell, were we both built well?
We came to life in the first half of the last century, Harry S. Truman was president.
You will always be a mystery as I'll never know if you are a he or she.
Oh how you spark knock on lead free.
I can see all the miles of different roads we could have traveled together.
Well aged is the turquoise of your smooth faded enamel and my roadmap wrinkles.
How is it you came to rest in the corral of an arboretum and I to write this trifling facetious prose.
Everything has beauty but most often the photographer sees it first.
How fun to have your photo and the note from your glove box that said “You can’t tell the depth of a well by the length of the handle on the pump.”
I will always love you, Dodge Power Wagon, as you are maintenance free for me..............
