This is the door of Badjao Restaurant in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. I love how they decorated the place with the native materials. The two faces in front are made of woods and they used rattan the kind of yellow one near the floor to tie bamboo horizontally to brighten the place. Bamboos and rattan are native plants in the Philippines. They used the "batik" clothes, the orange in color which are well-known clothes by the locals but in this restaurant they used it for accent. The Restaurant is built on top of a Mangrove habitat. From the restaurant you can see the view of the sea. When we were there it was night so we just saw flickering lights of some boats of fishermen in the ocean. Aside from very nice meal this door really caught my attention.

like this a lot - you captured the colors, even in the darkness and the framing by the doorway really finishes it
