Thank you all. This has been a favorite. It was -30C and I could barely click the shutter button!

Location
This was taken in Ottawa, Canada by the Ottawa River Pakway on a chilly (~ -30C) evening. Besides the sunset, sky colours and the trees one we have the frozen river. Needless to say that it was too cold to be outside for long and wrestled to coordinate my eyes and fingers with my mind! Well, I am a photographer "by interest" ... and yet to sell my first photograph!Time
10th January 2015 around 4:30 pm. Sunsets in Ottawa tend to be very dramatic, like this one, which are always a reason for me to brave the cold!Lighting
This was all natural light and I set my camera manually for exposure (f/16, 1/13s, ISO:50).Equipment
Nikon D610 (that I got as a Christmas present from my family a few days back). Tripod, I set the on camera timer as I didn't have a remote. 50mm/1.4G Nikor lensInspiration
Sunsets and landscapes are my favorite subjects.Editing
Yes, it was shot in RAW so I used Camera Raw for the conversion and basic curves optimization and cropping in Photoshop. In my camera bag
Nikon d610, 50mm/1.4G, Nikor 28-85mm (3.5-4.5), Nikor 70 - 300mm (f/3.5 to 5.6), a UV filter, a polariserFeedback
Sunsets may be better with a faster lens. Although I had a wide angle lens I chose the 50mm as a compromise at lets in more light. Good to be well prepared with warm gloves and a remote shutter operation.
