I took this photo in Santa Rosa, CA in an antique shop.Time
It was an interior shot in the middle of the day.Lighting
Natural indoor lighting in a retail store!Equipment
Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens.Inspiration
I love browsing around in antique and thrift shops looking for interesting still life settings. Then, of course, the old wood furnishings, windows and doors can be dramatic and memorable. This one had the worn, scraped blue paint, which caught my attention. The color was a bit unique.Editing
I just used the sliders in "photos" to increase the contrast and sharpening somewhat. In my camera bag
Normally I carry a Sony Nex-6. I have recently bought a Sony a6000, so that is my favorite right now. I also carry several lenses, including a fish-eye and a 14mm. I carry a tripod and bean bag, but don't use them too often. I am generally on the move and find it too confining to use the tripod or bean bag.Feedback
Just scope out some of the thrift shops and antique shops in town. The most modest places can be rich with photographic possibilities.
