This photo was taken during early morning walk on beach at small village of Tamilnadu called Kodiyakarai.Time
It was early morning around 5:30 or 6:00 when I saw this colorful boat parked outside. and because of heavy wind the red flag on it was waving aroundLighting
I would say before taking this image I imagined how my image should look like, and accordingly I took multiple exposure shots to and some basic photoshop technique to get the result as this image i clicked when i bought my first DSLR Nikon D3200 with Nikkor 18-105mm lenses.Equipment
I used Nikon body: D3200 and kit lens Nikkor 18-105mm hand hold.Inspiration
To be honest colors on the boat and the cloud patterns on background motivated me to capture this image. After clicking this image I sat on this boat until it became really hot. I could enjoy all the early morning cool breez.Editing
I took multiple images with different exposures and in later post processing i merged it with HDR in PS and after that played with camera rawIn my camera bag
A year back i have changed my equipment's to Body: Nikon D500 and Lens: Nikkor 35mm f1.8 and Tokina 10-16mm f2.8 3 batteries 1 - Original Nikon and 2 RavPower 3 16GB Memory card and 1 - 32 GB memory card RavPower fileHub with 1 TB of hardisk usb charger 1 Anker Power bank 21000 mAh 1 portable solar pannel to charge power bankFeedback
If I have to capture the similar image now, I would go with 3 techniques First I would like to use a flash light to bring punch on boat color at the same time dramatic cloud in a single image Second if you dont have flash light, try to use HDR function of your camera and capture the image with multiple exposures Third: if you are not Happy with inbuild HDR functionality then take multiple images manually and merge those while doing post processing Personally I would go with First and Third option on any given day If you are new: capture whatever your heart says play with controls u can always reset if you mess up with your camera settings.
