I got this big guy in Long Beach marina. I was chasing him around all over the place in a small little dingy. I was sitting upfront on an ice chest while my friend was following him around. It seems that he was quite camera shy, as every time we would start to get close to where he had just perched, he would take off again. After about an hour of this I think he just gave in and said, OK, go ahead and take the shot! ~Even though he's a brown pelican, you can see that they can be quite colorful.
