Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken mid-day mid-winter from my daughter's room window. The golden hour coincided with a brief snowstorm, so it's essentially a lucky shot.

Time

Golden hour, winter time. Quite early actually, around 16:00 if I remember correctly.

Lighting

All natural.

Equipment

Canon 600D plus Sigma 18-250 at 187mm ISO 100 f/11 1/350

Inspiration

The view was quite stunning when a light snowstorm hit late in the afternoon while sun was low on the horizon and rays of light reflected from the roofs across the street, wind swept snowflakes dancing in the golden light.

Editing

A little bit of contrast enhacement.

In my camera bag

Every time I have to buy a new camera I mount a travel zoom, misplace lens caps and buy one or two additional batery packs.

Feedback

Observe your emediate environment and don't forget to bring your camera.
