Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in El Tunel Guajataca. This is an old place in the area north of Puerto Rico. We had to decender by some rocks to gain access to this area where we were several hours taking pictures.Time
We reached the place at 11:00 am and stayed for about 4 hours.Lighting
The photo was taken without artificial lighting. The sunlight at this time of day was perfect so just a small reflector was used to direct sunlight.Equipment
At that time I was using a Sony F828. This camera does not have interchangeable lens so it was used that brings. It was taken by hand without the use of tripod and do not use the flash. This was somewhat difficult and I had some luck with it. The Sony F828 does not have a good "Power Shot" so I had to wait 1-2 seconds before I could take another picture. The time was perfect and manages to capture just the time I was looking for with a single shot.Inspiration
In the photo is my sister and her husband. Since it was my sister was looking to create a love story out of the ordinary. We wanted a picture that will impact and we could ride in a box for resepcion wedding. I conducted about 1,500 photos that day but only this one be chosen. When I saw the waves crashing on the rocks knew this was the place. For those wondering, there is no special effect. In fact, just one second after making the shot they were swept away by the wave. After being rescued with some cuts, we noticed that we had of the perfect shot.Editing
Only retouching in Photoshop a little contrast, brightness and color a bit to make it more opaque. The reality is I did not major changes so the original photo is almost identical to this. The photo was so spectacular that I decided not to put many filters because they are not needed.In my camera bag
Currently change my camera and bought a Canon 60D. Normally in my bag you can find my camera, lens 18-55mm a 55-300mm lens filters for the lenses, a flash, lens cleaners, battery and additional memory and a small tripod.Feedback
The best photos occur on the most unexpected moments. For me if you want to capture stunning photos you have to always be prepared and ready. You have to be peciente before achieving take this photo we were an hour and hundreds of photos. You have to have the right models. Not all customers are equally patients and much less equally risky. To take pictures like that you have to love photography and out every day ready to take your best shot.
