Behind The Lens

Location

I took it at the Eilean Donan Castle in Dornie, Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland. I took it while on Vacation with my aunt, cousin, and sister.

Time

I remember pulling into the parking lot and jumping out to quickly walk up to the walkway railing and snap some pictures. I took it at 11:53 am on September 6, 2014.

Lighting

I had no education in lighting, composition, or anything that deals with amazing photography and didn't really learn anything until February 2015.

Equipment

I used my iPhone 5s held in my hands with no flash.

Inspiration

My family and I were on our way to the Isle of Skye one morning and the owners of a cafe we stopped at recommended that we stop to take a picture because it's such a lovely location.

Editing

Nope! No editing or anything done to this photo.

In my camera bag

My iPhone 5s in 2014 and 2015 but at the beginning of this year I updated to the iPhone 6s. I occasionally take a few pictures with my Canon AE-1.

Feedback

The beauty of beautiful locations is that even when you have zero experience, you can still take fabulous photos. When I uploaded this photo to ViewBug, I had no idea that it would get the acknowledgments it has received. If the subject is aesthetically pleasing and your camera is in focus, go for it!
