Location
This was taken at RHS Wisley in Surrey, UK. Every year they hold open days when they breed and release butterflies into the glasshouse.Time
Around 11.00 hoursLighting
No.Equipment
Canon EOS 70d with Sigma Lens, no flash, automatic landscape mode.Inspiration
I love the colours of the butterflies at this event, and the varieties are so much greater than are available to see in the wild in the UKEditing
I don't normally do much post editing. I use Corel Paint Fhop pro Ultimate X7, crop, sharpen - occasionally I add a sunset filter but not much else.In my camera bag
Apart from my camera I keep a lot of spare battereries, both rechargeable and AA. I have the battery grip which takes two rechargeable or six AA batteries.Feedback
Firstly patience especially with anything that moves, children and animals are unpredictable. Next in this digital age take many shots but be cruel to yourself and only keep those which are of the highest standard. Finally when editing make sure you save a copy of the original - you may want to go back to that later and try some different post capture effects.
