The Carbonite Mine

The Carbonite Mine looks down onto another Breckenridge sunrise. The Corporal Mine lies below it, just out of sight. Most people will recognize the Corporal from town. The tram that runs to it looks like old ski lift towers, but were actually used to haul ore down to the crushers in the 1800’s.

I captured this image on a beautiful morning in late summer in 2001 with my loyal companion, Horton.
