Location
This is at the Museum of the United States Airforce in Dayton, Ohio. This particular plane is in their Early years collectionTime
I took this soon after the museum openedLighting
The lighting in the hangar is challenging, though this particular plane is set up for a more dramatic lighting. It would be better shot if a monopod was used.Equipment
I shot this with my Sony Alpha, no flash or tripodInspiration
The staging of the German triplane was magnificent. Its one of the most dynamic poses of an airplane within the museum. It's very evocative of the early years of dogfighting.Editing
The only post-processing was a bit of cropping and a slight boosting of contrast. In my camera bag
Mostly I carry my Sony Alpha with a 18-70mm and a 55-300mm lens.Feedback
At the museum, more clear shots could be achieved by use of monopod or tripod. Flash is not really recommended based on the size of most of the planes or their dioramas.
