This pack of camels were on the move across the Nullarbor Plains at the southern end of Australia.....between 1860 and 1907 an estimated 10,000 to 12,000 camels were imported to be used as draft and riding animals by people pioneering the interior of our continent................Also along this strip of road has been established an 18 hole golf course which runs for 1.400ks....the idea being that you stop at a road-house play 1 hole, have your card stamped and when ready drive for the next 1 or 2 hundred ks and play the next hole...apparently the road toll has dropped dramatically since this golf course has been established, because motorists are stopping for the experience rather than just driving to get to the other side as quickly as possible....it took us 2 weeks to cross this great expanse of the Continent!!

Great! Were you really this close to them or was it zoomed? Were they wild or domestic?
