Location
This photo was taken in the sleepy town of Porterville, CA.Time
Oh it was at dusk when I heard my uncle and mother inform me to grab my camera and RUN!!Lighting
The clouds and light were fading fast and I did not bring my tripod when I visited my mother's house. I had to take the shot by hand and the sad part is that I had no choice but to take the shot with a large aperture. It did not turn out so bad as the rest of the shot is dreamy and surreal. The surrealness prompted me to choose a post-processing to match the blur of colors.Equipment
I used a mid-level Sony SLT-A65, my lens was a 50mm, handheld and no flash... Yes all the wrong choices!Inspiration
No inspiration just a mad rush out the door to capture anything as fast as I could, a "Lucky Shot".Editing
I like contrast and to tell you the truth I adjust the levels and watch the screen until I achieve the look I'm after. I'm an amateur! In my camera bag
Camera, flash, 50mm AF, a pinhole lens cap, 8mm Fisheye, Macro 90mm, good old polarized filters, batteries.Feedback
The luck aspect is key, you can't plan for clouds like these (unless I'm mistaken). Also this was taken in the middle of town but we own 15 AC so there is no obstructions.
