Practice, practice, practice! Oh and make sure you are at a safe distance.Equipment
Tripod, Nikon D5200 on bulb and a wireless remote.Inspiration
I love the raw power of storms and this one was quite explosive. I had never ever been able to capture lightning before and when this storm hit I just had to get out and try!Editing
I used Photoshop Element 11 and all I did was straighten my horizon a bit and change some of the tinting. In my camera bag
I like to have everything because you just never know what you might come across. For me I carry 2 cameras, 3 lenses (40mm Macro, 18-55mm and my 55-200 mm), tripod, camera raincoat, cleaning kit, wireless remote and the case I carry it all in.Feedback
Patience and perseverance! And know your settings before you get out there because a storm can come and go in the blink of an eye!
