Location
The photo was taken in West Vancouver's Lighthouse Park when sun most gone and beautiful moon was rising. It's a beautiful spot for landscape and wedding/engagement photography. On this picture I wanted to show silent communication between the moon and the lighthouse, communication through light.
Time
It was late, very late. I was lucky enough to meet other people that day who had a flashlight so it was possible to come back to bus stop. If you're planning to shoot in Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver and stay untill moon rises, make sure you have a good light with you for the walk back. Otherwise your journey might be interesting. It was shot around 9-10 pm, but if you go there... give yourself full day to enjoy the place.
Lighting
I didn't us any lighting, just a tripod. If you're planning to shoot engagement or wedding shots there, you might need a reflector, etc, but no special lighting tools. From this place you can shoot sunset and moon. Beautiful open location with a lot of natural lighting. However can be much darker if you're about to shoot inside the park.
Equipment
It was shot with Nikon D610, 24-85mm 3.5-4.5 Nikon G lens (kit lens) on a tripod.

Inspiration
I was enjoying my day in Lighthouse Park and I was actually shooting a timelapse of a moon rising from behind of the Lighthouse. It was a beautiful view, when sun movement made the scene darker with every minute, the subtle rising of the moon and contrast of the lighthouse comparing to the surroundings created this beautiful view. I was only waiting for the right moment to shoot, when the moon reached this spot, creating nice distance to lighthouse, creating a communication path.
Editing
I did some post processing but nothing extraordinary. I just converted an image to black and white, played with contrast to give "light" it's space.
In my camera bag
On my photographic journey I travel a lot on my legs, but I still like to enough equipment to be able to take any type of shot. It's nothing crazy but I love my equipment. It's a Nikon D610 with it's kit lens (24-85mm), and another lens which is prime lens and I love it - Sigma 105mm, 2.8. Plus one of the most important thing, especially if I want to shoot this kind of shots it's my tripod. I spent over 500 dollars on my tripod, so to make sure it's super light and small so I can travel long distances on my legs and which, but also steady and let's me play with many angles. One backpack to one day trips, I also manage to fit something to eat.
Feedback
Go out! It's important to just go out, be outdoor, shoot and watch. Visit one spot many times and be aware and notice the ways sun and moon moves throughout the day and night. More trips you take, more chances you have to shoot something beautiful, and each journey teaches you great lessons. If possible, travel around sunrise and sunset. Don't forget to check works of other people, we are all teachers to each other.
