Out-standing shot. This one must be young, because their usually pretty large. Congrats on the awards!

Never seen a photo of a Liger before. Where was this shot taken? Which country?

Location
Some people might not know that ligers are real animals. The liger is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger. Since lions and tigers do not exist in the same areas, ligers aren't found in the wild. That being said, I took this photo at a wildlife refuge.Time
I arrived at the wildlife refuge first thing in the morning. The liger exhibit was the last one of the tour, so the shot was taken at around 9:00a.m.Lighting
All natural light from the early morning sun was all that I used here.Equipment
This photo was shot using a Canon 5D mark ii using a 300mm f/4L USM lens with the Canon 1.4 extender.Inspiration
This was the first time that I had ever seen a liger, which was really exciting. They are quite large, powerful animals. I waited patiently for around 30 mins, when I captured the angry snarl!Editing
Minimal post-processing was done here. A tiny bit of clarity and contrast was all that was needed. In my camera bag
I work full time as a photographer for a city lifestyle magazine shooting just about anything and everything. My nature/wildlife work is all done on evenings and weekends. Because my job requires a large variety of different subjects, I have a lens for almost every situation. I shoot with a Canon 5D mark ii (although I have pre-ordered the 5d mark iv!!!) and use the following Canon lenses: EF 50mm f/1.4, EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS, EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II, EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II, EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II, EF 300mm f/4L IS, Extender EF 1.4X III. Yes, my bag is very heavy!Feedback
Patience is the key. Closely observe wildlife looking for patterns in behavior. Have your camera ready with a fast shutter speed so when the perfect moment arrives, you're ready to fire away. Every second counts.
