Location
I took this photo out my bedroom window, as the sunflower seeds and suet brought hi and his female to eat just maybe 8 feet away from me. I could not be more excited to have a family of them grow up around me, in my birdbath in the summer and eating that suet to fattening themselves up for the cold winter!!!!! Everyone has called this picture "The True Angry Bird".......its just too funny to hear that!!!!Time
It was about mid afternoon on a cloudy fall day. You never know when Bluebirds are gonna show up because it all depends on what other kinds of birds are eating. I wish they were not so shy, I guess that's what you'd call them or very liery!!!!Lighting
It has been a long time since I have taken this picture, but it was a cloudy day and I am sure I adjusted the lighting a bit but with him being so close, and I shoot on Manual Mode, I did not have to adjust it very much at all.Equipment
The only thing I used was my Nikon D100 and a 55-200mm lens.....and A LOT of patience!!!!!Inspiration
Oh this is a easy question......I adore birds!!! And all other things beautiful to take a picture of especially wildlife of any kind.Editing
I did not do anything to my pictures 99% of ALL my pictures are straight from my camera, no adjusting or editing except for putting my name one them!!!In my camera bag
My upgraded camera, I wore the D1000 out now I have the Nikon D5300 and I have lenses the 55-200mm and the 70-300mm, all Nikon by the way and I carry a strap if I need it to hold my camera to my side, and of course I carry lens cleaners.Feedback
The main advices I can give to someone taking pictures of birds is first off, know the bird species and what they do and their habits, also keep your speed up high on your camera so you can catch them moving, obviously. And to have the incredible amount of patience, because without watching them and learning them....you will miss those perfect shots. I don't go for a certain pose on any animal, I go for the picture that will show the mannerisms of each bird so other people can see how they really look and act.
