Location
Took this image during the Harvest Festival in Schenectady, NYTime
Taken in the mid-afternoon.Lighting
Totally ambient lighting.Equipment
Shot handheld using Nikon D700 with a 70-200mm f2.8 at 200mm. 1/2500/sec at f2.8 ISO 400.Inspiration
I loved the look of this gentleman and the reflections of his horn.Editing
Image has basic processing for tone, contrast, and white balance. Cropped slightly to focus more on the subject (the horn). I then put it through Topaz Clarity and then converted it to black and white using Light Room.In my camera bag
These days I carry my D750, 70-200 F2.8, 105 f2.8 and 24-70 f2.8. I also, if I think I might need it, carry an SB-900 and a couple Pocket Wizards, but not always. I've recently acquired a 70-300 that I will use for street shots in place of the 70-200 f2.8. It's less obtrusive (without the shade) and if I drop the battery pack off the camera it makes for a nice simply street photography rig.Feedback
Only advice is to keep you eyes open. Don't neglect the details. While the whole scene may not be interesting there may be smaller parts that would make for great photographs.
