Location
'Tranquility' was shot in Ain, Sokhna, Egypt. A beachside front nearly 140 km from Cairo. On the side of the Red Sea.Time
The shot was taken at dawn. Was their the day before at dawn as well and imagined this shot. To have empty bottles of water and fill them with seawater to make the reflection shot off the pier floor. Fortunately it was low tide so one managed to get down to get that angle; on the floor side below the pier side.Lighting
The light at dawn is truly golden. Took several shots as the rising sun went through the different rails backside of the chair. Meanwhile keeping the ship in the distant background in sight as it passed through the horizon.Equipment

Dawn time is a rather special time, a new day emerging literally with the sunrise. Also being, alone by the sea is just as special; no one to disturb you and the grand horizon in front of you, alongside the sound of the sea too.Editing
This shot was taken back in my inspiring hobby days and it has a special place in the heart. I actually got work on behalf of this shot as a client had wanted images of the landscape of an upcoming project with an Arizona feel to it.In my camera bag
My camera bag compromises of the Canon 6D with the 24-105 lens alongside the 50 mm (nifty fifity) and the delightful 85mm (ultrasonic). And some times the 70-300mm not a big fan but still makes great images. I also usually have the Canon 50E with the favored TMAX 400 black and white film. Film rocks !!!Feedback
Waking up early at dawn is not easy, but once up and running let your photographic instinct and passion take you. Usually a serene and tranquil time and your mind breathes more carefree.
