This photo has a lovely magical feeling to it! Your handling of it works very well with the castle.

Location
I took this photo in California at the Scandia amusement park a couple years ago! I have been wanting to do water reflections for awhile but hardly any opportunity in California to do so.Time
I was miniature golfing with my family and had brought my camera to practice some night photography and noticed this amazing lit up castle!Lighting
I had forgotten my tripod but luckily there was so many spot lights on this castle to effectively capture the details! Making sure that my camera was steady, I propped it on the bottom of the gate prayed it wasn't shaky!Equipment
At this time I had my Canon t2i and my 18-55 basic camera lens! It's amazing what you can capture with the right settings!Inspiration
I've always admired people who could take long exposures with a creative flare! I wanted to improve my skills at night photography and had the opportunity to go to a fun place. There were other castles but this one stood out to me with the lake and all the lights.Editing
I sharpened and had a little bit of clarity. I tried to create a natural color cast because the lights were all yellow. But I hope I effectively captured the natural aspect of this building! In my camera bag
I now have a t4i, 11-16 tamron 2.8, 50mm 1.8, 90mm macro 2.8, an external flash, lens filters, a battery pack and a tripod.Feedback
Always bring your tripod! Play with the settings til you get it the look you want. Lens filters are a great way to either darken the foreground for brighter night shots, or lessening the brightness of a sunset! Too many lights with a long exposure may create too many highlights try combining darker and lighter exposures in post processing!
