Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken so where west of Alberta, so where off a backroad in an abandoned field.

Time

It was a late afternoon early evening when this photo came to be, that window just before sunset but when it starts getting colder.

Lighting

I wanted to make sure I had a lot of the field in this photo but have the focus be the abandoned barn, I had to move around and run back a bit to get the sun shining juts off the top like a little diamond.

Equipment

I believe this one was taken with a Canon eos rebel t3i and just a 18-55mm lens with a uv filter on top.

Inspiration

We are always going on these crazy road trip adventure and absolutely love finding abandoned buildings to explore and appreciate.

Editing

This one I don't believe had any, if it did it was just basic retouching like brightness contrast. This was when I was younger and newer at taking photos so I didn't know how to enhance my photos that well.

In my camera bag

In my bag now I just carry my nikon d3500 with an 18-55mm lens, sometimes a 3 leg tripod.

Feedback

Go exploring. Don't be afraid to go beyond the roads end. The bets photos have memories behind them, get that lighting you want even if you have to wait half an hour for the sun to start setting. It's worth it in the end.
