Location
This photo was taken in remote location in Central Texas. We owned the ranch but have since downsized.Time
The sun was just breaking over the horizon in the morning.Lighting
NatualEquipment
Nikon 7100 with a 18-300 mm lens at 18mm for the wide angle, while lying flat on the ground.Inspiration
Every morning was a good morning for sunrises at the ranch. The sun usually rose in just the right spot.Editing
Minimal post, just brought back some of the highlights lost.In my camera bag
Two cameras, Nikon 750 and the trusty D7100. Depending on what is to be shot, determines the lenses in my kit. On the 7100, the 18-300mm is an all around...I love the primes for the 750. Of course various SD cards, batteries and a pop up diffuser....Feedback
Get up early! Try different angles to make a landscape more interesting. On this shot, there wasn't an interesting foreground focal point, so I just went wide and dropped low for a different perspective.
