Thanks 😊 Hard to believe it was done with a very cheap 500mm lens, manual focus, hand held. I got very lucky

Location
I was very lucky with this shot. Sandhill Cranes fly into a certain field near where I used to live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I took a manual focus 500mm lens to really reach out and get them just chilling in the field, and I happened to see this one coming in for a landing. I got really lucky with this shot considering it was manually focused, on a "flying object"Time
I don't recall the exact time because it was more than 9 years ago, but I'm thinking mid morning, around 11am for some reasonLighting

These cranes migrating is kind of a big thing in New Mexico, especially at the Bosque Del Apache wildlife refuge. That these relatively few chose a field near my house was amazing to me and I had to try for itEditing
