I took this photo of Shadow , ( who was only 7 weeks old ) at my Parents house, while visiting them with my Niece, who just brought her new kitten over to show us .Time
It was in the early afternoon.Lighting
No not really , it was very low light and had to be careful !Equipment
I used my new Nikon D60 , no tripod was used , just hand held . 18mm - 55mm lens, ISO 1600, 1/30 sec , f3.5Inspiration
I took over a small basket to give it to my Niece, she then put Shadow into it and he just settled , so I took several other photos before I took this one where I placed the basket onto one of the speakers to take this shot . Shadow stayed in the basket for all the time I was there and we passed the basket around so we all have a photo of him . He was so happy and loved all the attention . This Photo has won several first prizes in different competitions all around the world .Editing
Yes I processed the photo in Photoshop CS5 , I used :- Levels Graduated Neutral Destiny Tonal Contrast - warmth White Neutralizer I only used a small amount of these to enhance the photoIn my camera bag

Yes , keep calm when you taking animal photos as the animal can sense any sudden movements that you make . Be patient , and wait for the right moment. Focus on their eyes, and have fun enjoying those special moments together .
