Thank you to all the photographers that shared their photos showing kittens in the Cute Kittens Photo Contest with chances to win a Amazon Kindle Fire and more!

"Ok... how do you choose among so many adorable, cute kittens? This was a fun but very challenging task! In order to narrow down these precious kitty photos, I had to remove any ‘older’ cats that do not qualify as kittens. They had to be super cute so that you couldn’t resist saying “awwww” when you looked at the image. I also looked for amazing eyes and connection with the person behind the camera or a story telling moment captured. Technical excellence behind the camera and in front of the computer was a must. And that is how I narrowed these wonderful finalists!" - Laurie Rubin

Grand Jury Winner

"This was such a lovely image with the focus on this cute little black furry kitten against a textured turquoise background. Getting low so that we are at eye level of this little guy brings us into his world. Because of the simplicity of the subject without any distracting background elements, the viewer is able to spend time focusing on this cute kitten with lovely yellow eyes as it walks towards us and into our hearts. Really well done! Congratulations!" - Laurie Rubin

Runner Up

"Everyone say “awwwwwww!” What a cute little calico kitten, intensely staring at us with those cute round eyes! I really love the different colors and patterns in the background that doesn’t distract from the kitten but instead, fills the frame. Super cute!" - Laurie Rubin

Runner Up

"Ready to pounce, this little kitten was captured with just enough of his cute expressive face showing and claws extended, ready to pounce on it’s next victim.. us! The diagonal wood fence and the flowers on either side create a nice frame around this cute kitten. Sometimes it’s all about the subject, and in this case, the background helps support the subject." - Laurie Rubin
