This is the type of image that begs me to search every nook & cranny so as to not miss even the smallest delight...what a treat, when I spied the golden reflection on the cabin's window pane! Excellent capture!

I love this phototure. Still, if I may make a comment: I would have cropped out the road on the left. (Did this just for fun, doing a screenshot and trying it on that. Works better for me, and enhances the romance of the image.)
Just my 2c.
Beautiful image nonetheless!

Location
The ranks St. Joseph City Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada.Time
Just before sunset on December 28, 2013.Lighting
I waited several hours before finding the right light to be able to properly express the colors of the Quebec winter.Equipment
My camera was a Nikon D700 with a 24-70mm lens. No tripod, no flash. The speed limit was at 1/120 sec with an adjustment to iso 200 and a 2.8 aperture lens.Inspiration
This house is one of the ancestors of my wife. I was motivated by its environment and the secrets of life spent in this place.Editing
I reworked this photo in Lightroom 5. The departure was taken in Raw format. In my camera bag
Normally I carry with me a Nikon case (D700), a 24-70 f2.8 lens & another 70-200 f2.8. That's it.Feedback
You have to know to make a good identification, leave as little trace as possible to the ground and wait for the right light at the end of the day. Must also rely on luck.
