Behind The Lens

Location

South Lakes Zoo

Time

The afternoon, around 2pm

Lighting

It was a sunny day, so the natural lighting was perfect.

Equipment

A canon eos 400d with a 70-300mm zoom lens and a uv lens filter.

Inspiration

I was about to take a few photos of this male lion lying up on a hill in perfect position. The moment I lifted up my camera, he yawned, and this was the result!

Editing

I ended up changing the photo to black and white afterwards, as I felt it had more impact.

In my camera bag

I usually have my one and only Canon camera, my 70-300mm zoom lens, and my Tamron macro lens, as well as a spare battery, and tons of spare memory cards.

Feedback

It's all about waiting for that perfect moment.
