Yes, that's right -- it's the statue from the opening credits of WKRP.

This magnolia macro is lit from behind with a speedlight, turning the flower petals into a softbox.

A strobe at close range (HSS) illuminates the flower, allowing me to underexpose the background, so I was able to shoot without cutting the flower.

A Pixel X800C flash, mounted on-shoe, balances the strong, strong backlighting from above. I chose this setup specifically to produce the sun-star pe
