Location
This was taken just outside Rohrmoos in Austria whilst walking in the mountains. I got some great landscape pictures out there!Time
We had just stopped for lunch so I think around 2 in the afternoon. If we go back, I'd like to take the same shot in the evening to get a bit more definition in the centre mountainLighting
We stumbled on this view so there was no planning around lighting, just got lucky with the weather!Equipment
I was using an Olympus E-PL1. I can't remember what lens I was using at the time. I wasn't carrying a tripod at the time so I just had to crouch and shoot.Inspiration
The amazing scenery and how perfectly the river lined up with the far mountain if I got in the right position. The water was crystal clear all along the river and the reflections were great.Editing
I never post-process any of my photos. It's just not my bag. I prefer knowing an image is all my work with the camera. In my camera bag
I'm still a relative beginner and I'm building up a very basic camera bag at the moment. I currently shoot with a Nikon D3200. In addition to my standard lens I carry a 70-300 Tamron telephoto lens. I have a very old and ropey tripod at the minute that desperately needs replacing. I have circular polarisers and variable ND filters for both lenses. I find the variable ND filters so much more convenient than carrying multiples for each! I've just got hold of a shutter remote as I'm starting to work on long exposure shots.Feedback
I find that I get my best shots when I'm out and about exploring so just get to new places as often as you can and always carry a camera of some description.
