Though I realise you've heard this many times, it is a truly beautiful shot - Wales has such spectacular scenery. :)

Brilliant image of Llyn Idwal, with a beautiful lead-in along the stream and beautiful composition and detail. Great detail in the water thanks to the passage of time. Congratulations on your feature.

5pmLighting
The picture was taken at the beginning of the golden hour, for the pink and red sunset, the light here early evening is great, but if you leave it to late the colours get hidden by the mountainEquipment
Camera = 40D Tripod = Alta Pro Lens = Canon 10-22mm Filter = 10 stopInspiration
The light the snow and the colours of the sky, i had it my mind for agesEditing
No not really anything major just a bit of tweakingIn my camera bag
so much, compass, torch, 7 or 8 different filters, clean kit, screwdriver, lens cleaning clothes, weather cover for camera, 4-5 lens, pens, notepad, head band torch, spare battery, gloves, windcheater, balaclava, change of socksFeedback
My main bit of advice is to go there first and check out where your going to take the image from POv, know when the light is what you want and roughly what time, visualize the shot
