Thank you very much Rhonda. Winter has arrived here again, maybe some better captures are on the way!

This frame was caught in a January day on the Danube's river bank; it was a pretty harsh winter and the sun began showing up, but the river was boiling, so I could not know what it was like on the other side until I crossed it.Time
It was close to noon, I crossed the Danube with the ferry at 11:30 am; you could not see beyond the thick fog. blanket covering the danube; so the light was overcast but filtered by the fogLighting
I've circled the tree several times in the knee deep snow, and I've shot multiple frames of the tree, sometimes on the tripod, sometimes from "snow level" but this frame popped out for meEquipment
I am an amateur so my gear was an entry level canon 1100D, with the 50mm f/1.4 canon lens and a cheap tripod, that's about it. No filters, no flash.Inspiration
I passed multiple times by the Danube and I like mentally marking times of the year when you get fog on the other side or even on the Danube river; if you are at the right time at the right place you will get some nice shots. a little effort makes the differenceEditing
I am always a practical type of guy, I learned that you can chase the good light, rather than trying to post process it in the photo. Light room is the post processing software, no pluginsIn my camera bag
I'm inlove with my 50mm f/ 1.4 lens, maybe because it's easier to carry it kn the camera, I now upgraded to a 70d and a tokina 11-16mm which I cannot use anymore after an accident(this one kinda hurts) so I now only. have a kit lens and a 50 mm functional. for night-time shoots the tripod is always hanging off me. and not only on night shootsFeedback
Remember your good lighting year around, observe the weather patterns in your favorite places to shoot and even in your new places to shoot for future reference
