Location
The photo was taken at Lake Wanaka, New Zealand.Time
This is one of my favorite place to shoot and hoping to comeback again. I remember waking up around 2am to drive from Queenstown to Lake Wanaka to chase the sunrise.Lighting
This is one of the most famous and photograph tree in NZ. I just used natural light to capture the sunrise by using filters.Equipment
I used my Canon 5D mark 3 with my favorite lens Canon 16-35 f2.8 USM lens. 30 seconds exposure, ISO 100, f/16 My camera mounted on my manfrotto tripod, and using a cable release. I used a Grad ND filter on the sky.Inspiration
Been wanting to capture this tree since I started my photography. The lighting, location and composition during sunrise inspired me to take this image.Editing
This was single shot processed Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Photoshop. Standard processing of the RAW file and further enhancement of colours, contrast, sharpness. In my camera bag
This was shot with canon 5Dmark3 and Canon 16-35 f2.8 USM lens this is my main lens, Canon 70-200 f2.8 USM version 1, Canon 50mm f1.8 STM, Filter System, DJI mavic pro, Canon G9, small tripod, extra batteries, headlamp, extra cf, sd and micro cards.Feedback
Be prepared to put your work out there. Share it on social media and nature photography forums. What I learned from the past is getting wet while photographing seascape or waterfalls, I normally bring a waders with me all the time to keep me dry and to get a better angle. Woth this shot I used my waders to get closer to tree.
