I recently visited this national park in New Zealand, and had by far the clearest sky I've ever seen! I could see the whole belt of the milky way, as well as 2 other solar systems...LMC which is 163,000 light years away, and SMC, 200,000 light years away!

This picture was taken by long exposure, standing dead still throughout, and having a torch shine on me for a couple of seconds.
