Location
My partner and I usually take trips out into the countryside for photographic opportunities. Surprisingly this picture was captured 3 feet from the back door....Time
It was a beautiful autumn morning about 7:10 am, on the way to the garage I noticed how pretty the strawberry plant leaves looked with the early morning dew dripping like jewels off each leaf point.Lighting
Sunset and sunrise are supposed to be the golden hour moments, in this case They are not wrong, sunrise created an extraordinary fairytale like quality to the scene, the water reflection was the icing on the cake.Equipment
The camera was a Canon 300D coupled with an excellent Tamron SP 90mm 1:2.8 Macro lens and of course, the essential tripod....Inspiration
I like to take pictures of things that someone would normally just walk by and not notice, I also have a deep fascination for water or liquid, this picture combines the two.Editing
I don't normally carry out post processing, however on this picture there is colour and contrast adjustments to make the greens vibrantIn my camera bag
I try and keep things to a minimum, however my camera bag contains The following lenses Canon EF 70-200mm L , Canon EF 100-400mm L and the above Tamron Macro lens. Along with my new Canon 6D, tripod and 2x extenderFeedback
Tripod is a must.... If macro is your thing then get a quality macro lens. I rate Tamron but there are some superb lens out there. But most of all.........Have fun !
