Bagan (Burmese: ????; MLCTS: pu.gam, IPA: [b??Ã ?]; formerly Pagan) is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Burma (Myanmar). From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.

It was early dawn as I already arrived on a temple just before dawn.Lighting
I love the natural skylight coming before sunrise. This natural low light during dawn revealed a dreamy atmosphere of the foggy Bagan. I took a long exposure shot using this natural low light.Equipment
I used a tripod plus Nikon D600, Tamaron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 and LEE GND 0.9 filter. GND filter was used to compensate the highlight in the morning sky.Inspiration
I love the foggy atmosphere amidst thousands of ancient heritages. I even forgot to breathe when I started seeing this moment. Later, I quickly set up my camera to capture it. It was an unforgettable moment in my life.Editing
I used Light Room 5 and Photoshop CS 6 here. I adjust white balance, color and contrast in Light Room and final sharpening was done in Photoshop.In my camera bag
I normally carry Nikon D600, Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8G for wide angle landscape, Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 for teleshot as required and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D for travel portraits. LEE GND filters are carried on some occasions like taking long exposure landscapes.Feedback
Get arrived early at the place for photographing, for example if you are going for sunrise you have to arrive there before sunrise. So, you can set up your gears and you can choose your best location to set up your tripod before the golden hour moment comes. Try to make best use of natural lights.
