:D This bull was actually quite friendly. When I stroked him he tried to throw my hand off but he wasn't too aggressive so I felt quite comfortable crouching next to him. At this point I was being chewed on and licked by the cows in the neighbouring pen.
Thank you for your lovely comments ladies!

Behind The Lens

Location

Lime Tree Holiday Park in Buxton, also home to the Discover Buxton tram.

Time

Midday.

Lighting

It was a really miserable day, dark, rainy and a grey sky so I had to use a high ISO and just be glad that my subjects were light and bright.

Equipment

Nikon D800 and 28-300mm lens.

Inspiration

I am the photographer for Discover Buxton, a tour company in Buxton, Derbyshire. The tram (converted milk float) was being moved to its new home at Lime Tree Holiday Park and required a photoshoot to celebrate. I thought it would be perfect to introduce its new neighbour as well.

Editing

Clarity and fixing the histogram in Lightroom. Then export to Photoshoot to add a highpass filter and and overlay in order to sharpen the details.

In my camera bag

Nikon D800 18-300mm lens, cleaning cloth, 50gb of memory cards and spare battery.

Feedback

When the weather and light is not in your favour, pay extra attention to composition and perspective.
