I had this great idea to photograph the "Faces of the Renaissance" yesterday while at the festival; however, I didn't have enough memory (...and neither did my camera) but, I did manage to take one image of this guy working the archery booth... Renaissance Man!

Location
I took this photo at the Renaissance Fair in South Florida.Time
It was taken in the early afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was completely natural, with the exception of an overhang which partially shadowed his forehead and the back part of his head.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon 5D Mark II, with a Canon 70 - 300, 5.6, 58mm lens. There was not a flash involved.Inspiration
I find people to be great subjects. When my family set out to visit the local Renaissance festival I couldn't resist bringing my equipment. I believe that ordinary family outings are often overlooked as great photography expeditions.Editing
Clearly I 'desaturated' the image, a.k.a. turned it black and white. I typically ad some contrast, and there was a touch more background showing which I blacked out.In my camera bag
I like to have a flash and a few good lenses to cover: wide angle, telephoto and macro shots. This keeps me prepared for most situations.Feedback
Bring your camera and a lens or two when you visit novel places.
