As a mom of 2 boys who played football, I find this picture of your son fabulous!! I'm sure he loves it as well, he looks like one tough kid in this!! Congrats on such a great shot!!

Behind The Lens

Location

At my home Studio.

Time

It was in a studio, but I believe it was in the evening.

Lighting

I used a handful of strobes with a black paper backdrop.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark II! Boom!

Inspiration

My son was headed into his 2nd season of PeeWee (entry) level tackle football, and I thought a commemorative photo would be nice.

Editing

I always "crush the blacks" in post and pop the highlights to make it run the range of optimal contrast.

In my camera bag

I have three lenses, and a bunch of strobes, and a few modifiers. It is a big bag.

Feedback

I used two strip boxes from behind (on the sides) and a 'Rembrandt' style cross light and a fill light.
