On a day when the weather forecast was Thunderstorms, we got snow and lots of it, which meant that we had more than our normal share of visitors to the bird feeder, including the little male Purple Finch, a winter visitor to NWArkansas, and kind of hard to distinguish from the year round House Finch, but this little guy has paler wing feathers, and as I only ever see them during the winter months I figure it has to be the Purple Finch
