Behind The Lens
Location
I was out at the local college. They have an Agricultural pond on site. It's open to the public for fishing. And they have a bit of wildlife such as ducks, geese, and swans. I go out there every once in a while. These two ducklings were just swimming by and I thought "Two of a Kind" for sure! It truly was one of those rare sites to see.Time
I was actually there to fish and had my camera. It was in a very warm afternoon.Lighting
Natural lighting is a must in many situations, including this one.Equipment
Actually I used my old Canon Rebel T2. A FILM camera. Yes I said Film! Still have it, too.Inspiration
I love the outdoors...Nature. I get a shot as often as possible.Editing
A little post-processing was done. And actually it wasn't Photoshop. I just needed a bit of cropping and just used a free editing software. In my camera bag
I like to keep Canon with me along with a standard zoom lens. I also have the 18-55mm. And because I will be outside, always have a macro lens. I like to get the closeups of flowers, insects, and the combination of them. It's always a wonderful thing.Feedback
When your subject is moving, a fast shutter speed is necessary to freeze the movement. I like to try and anticipate the subject's next move or where it's going to be. I will quickly focus on that location. Then watch for it to move into the frame. You don't have to chase your subject, you can get ahead and let it 'catch up' to you.
