During a hike in a small affluent of the Trebbia river (Italy), thanks to some luck I came across a really rare hunting scene: a big Natrix Natrix has got his prey of the day, a beautiful brown trout; when it noticed me it froze himself like a statue but the trout, still alive, trying to escape, revealed their presence while was hitting the foliage waving his tail. I had to concentrate to keep calm and do some shots before the Natrix has recovered his own courage and vanished in the forest.
